An official says a cargo plane carrying money has crashed near Bolivia’s capital, damaging about a dozen vehicles on a highway, scattering bills on the ground and leaving at least 15 people dead.

The flight turned around due to engine problems, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

RDU-International Airport officials said two people on a general aviation plane are safe after a tire blew after takeoff. Officials said the plane circled back and landed safely. No injuries were reported. One runway was closed while crews worked to clear debris. Officials said it should reopen shortly.

Firefighters responded to reports of an engine fire Monday morning on a United Airlines plane that landed at Los Angeles International Airport. United Airlines flight 2127 departed from LAX just after 10 a.
